enet Appoints Thomas Grant To CTO Role

enet has announced the appointment of Thomas Grant as Chief Technical Officer. Thomas has immediately assumed overall responsibility for enet’s operations, engineering, planning and service delivery departments.

Thomas has over 15 years’ experience in the design, build and operation of carrier class networks and has spent over 11 years working in both technical and commercial positions at enet and previously at Interoute Communications as well as Cable & Wireless.

Thomas’ previous role in enet was that of Network Engineering Manager, where he was responsible for the design and build of the company’s Next Generation Network. Prior to joining enet, Thomas managed Interoute’s infrastructure engineering team which was responsible for the build and expansion of their network throughout Europe.

Announcing the appointment, enet CEO, Conal Henry commented, “We’re delighted to be able to make this significant appointment from within our organisation. Thomas is a seasoned professional with a wealth of experience to bring to the CTO role. His breadth of understanding in the telecoms sector will be a fantastic asset to enet in this exciting time of growth.”

Thomas earned a Degree in Engineering from the University of Ulster, as well as a Postgraduate Diploma from Queens University, Belfast.
