enet Announces “Pieta House” as Partner Charity For 2013/14

enet has today announced Pieta House as our Partner Charity for 2013/14

Pieta House focuses on the prevention of self-harm and suicide and has centres in Lucan, Tallaght, Finglas and Ballyfermot in Dublin as well as in Limerick.

Joan Freeman, Chief Executive of Pieta House Midwest, expressed her delight and gratitude at the news of being chosen as Charity of the year by enet. ‘We are so grateful to enet, their generosity will mean that we can extend the weekend hours of our service in Mungret, Limerick. With such an increase in demand for our service, enet could not have come along at a more necessary time”.

On making the announcement, enet CEO, Conal Henry said, “enet are pleased to have Pieta House as our partner charity and we’re looking forward to working with them over the next year. Pieta House do very important work, especially in their efforts to bring about social change and de-stigmatising the issue of suicide. Henry went on to say, “The entire enet team is excited about the partnership and hopefully our fundraising efforts will make a difference in people’s lives”.

Pieta House now has a staff of 80 and in 2012 alone; more than 3,000 availed of their services.
