Peter McCarthy is a skilled leader with a proven track record of building and managing strong teams and businesses, and we’re looking forward to seeing Enet’s continued growth under his influence and the efforts of all the team. We welcome the team on board and wish them every success.”
Commenting on the appointments, Peter McCarthy, CEO at Enet, said: “The business has already shown an ability to transform the Irish telecommunications industry by stimulating competition, reducing bandwidth costs and accelerating Ireland’s broadband position. With our new senior team in place, I’m looking forward to working closely with them to lead the company through its next exciting phase of innovation and growth.”
The IIF acquired a majority stake in Enet in October 2017, and purchase of the remaining 22% stake reached financial close in December 2018.
