Enet, Ireland’s largest wholesale, open-access network provider, has been named a Deloitte ‘Best Managed Company’. The awards recognise excellence in Irish and Northern Irish owned and managed companies and those that demonstrate superior business performance.
Now in its 12th year, the Deloitte Best Managed Companies awards programme was created to recognise the overall success of a company, including management strength, ability to innovate, strategic initiatives and financial performance. The award was presented to Enet at a gala event and symposium in the Convention Centre Dublin on 6th March.
In its submission, Enet focused on how it has grown its core business, developed new infrastructure assets, and enhanced its business planning process and how this is communicated across the company. Enet also outlined how its strategic plan differentiates the business from its competitors, and its future plans for growth over the coming years.
Peter McCarthy, Enet Group CEO, said: “We’re delighted to receive this award, in recognition of the hard work of the entire Enet team at all levels of the business. Our overall strategy and management focus is on delivering the best possible experience for our customers, and placing them at the heart of all we do. This award is a fantastic testament to the success of that strategy and we look forward to extending it into the future.”
Anya Cummins, Lead Partner for the Best Managed Companies Awards Programme at Deloitte said: “We are consistently impressed by the organisations that qualify and requalify for our Best Managed Companies Awards programme, and the contribution that this important cohort of the economy make is highlighted by the turnover and employment numbers of the winning companies.
“While Irish companies across all sectors navigate issues such as talent acquisition and retention, continuing uncertainty around Brexit and regulatory challenges, the management teams of the winning companies have demonstrated their razor-sharp focus on their objectives, an agility to adapt in a disruptive market place and to innovate and use technology as a real differentiator for them.”
