COVID 19

Enet’s commitment to mitigate COVID-19

As the Covid-19 situation evolves, Enet continue to monitor the situation, taking advice from the Government and the HSE. All precautions are being taken to ensure the safety of our staff and the continuity of business operations. Following announcements by the Irish Government on Friday 27th and Saturday 28th March, Enet has been designated as an essential service provider and as such, we will continue to operate.

We have already ensured that our staff (e.g. NOC, IT, Engineering) have been provided with documentation that confirms our status as an essential service. This designation also applies to our contractors, who carry out vital operational elements on our behalf and our suppliers of key equipment. Appropriate documentation has also been provided to them. These steps will ensure that our staff, as well as the staff of our contractors, will be able to travel for operational reasons despite the current restrictions.

Business Continuity

Enet has already implemented a number of precautionary measures to protect our staff while fully maintaining operational capabilities. Our leadership team reviews our Business Continuity Plan (BCP) on a daily basis. Our normal business operations can be carried out beyond our Limerick HQ, and contingency measures are in place to ensure business continuity in the event of a widespread outbreak. Enet have multiple sites at our disposal – across Limerick and Dublin – so it is likely that operations could continue in at least one site. Separately, there are a range of different technology solutions which enable our staff and key contractors to work effectively from remote locations. We are closely liaising with contractors and suppliers to ensure that we have the capability to continue business operations. There are no specific supply side issues reportable at this time.

Network Operations Centre (NOC)

Our Network Operations Centre (NOC) remains fully operational and continues to run on a 24 x 7 x 366 basis, as normal.

New Orders

Should customers wish to place orders, we are continuing to accept them.

Sales Support

Our Sales Support Team are continuing to provide support to customers during this time. If you have any issues, please contact salessupportteam@enet.ie.

Site visit safety

Enet are committed to maintaining services to our customers. Our field team now carry out risk assessment in advance of site visits. This involves a phone call to the relevant premises to identify whether the premise is at risk of Covid-19. If this assessment prevents them from completing a site visit, any delay will be communicated to the customer in advance. Safety of our staff and customers is paramount and all field staff have been provided with Personal Protective Equipment.
