enet has announced the appointment of Thomas Grant as Network Engineering Manager. Thomas will be responsible for the design and build of the company’s Next Generation Network and is just one of a number of new starters following enet’s recently announced €25 million, 10 year investment programme in broadband infrastructure.
Thomas has over 13 years experience in the design, build and operation of carrier class networks and has spent the last 9 years working in both technical and commercial positions at Interoute Communications, a pan European Network Operator. His last role was managing the infrastructure engineering team which was responsible for the build and expansion of their network.
Announcing the appointment, enet CEO, Conal Henry commented, “We’re delighted to welcome someone of Thomas’ experience and proven calibre to this newly created position within our engineering team. Thomas is one of a number of recent new hires and collectively these appointments underline enet’s continued commitment to our customers.” Henry went on to say, “Thomas’ appointment, in particular, is further evidence of our ongoing commitment to the delivery of a world class infrastructure for the carrier community.”
Thomas earned a Degree in Engineering from the University of Ulster, as well as a Postgraduate Diploma from Queens University, Belfast.
