enet appoints Peter Hendrick as Chief Technology Officer

enet, the open access fibre and wireless network provider, has appointed Peter Hendrick as Chief Technology Officer.

Peter has an extensive background in telecoms engineering having previously held senior roles in AirSpeed Telecom and Siemens. In his new role with enet Peter will be responsible for strategic project and business development initiatives, as well as product and infrastructural developments.

Peter’s most recent role was Technical Director in AirSpeed Telecom, where he was responsible for engineering, service delivery and support operations. Prior to joining enet, Peter held a number of positions with Siemens Ireland including Sales Account Manager and Engineer. 

Announcing the appointment, enet CEO, Conal Henry commented, “We’re delighted to be able to make this significant appointment. Peter’s wealth of senior level experience and credibility will be instrumental to enet as we grow our fibre and wireless business over the coming years.”

Peter Hendrick said, “This is a very exciting time for enet and Irish telecoms in general. I’m looking forward to helping enet achieve our goal of becoming the fibre infrastructure partner of choice for Irish telecoms carriers.”

Peter holds an honours degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications and Electronics from Dublin Institute of Technology. He has also received a number of industry awards during his career including a top ten placing in the Deloitte Fast 50 Technology Awards and the Irish Times Tech 50.
