Enet appoints John Gilvarry as new Chief Operating Officer

Enet, Ireland’s largest wholesale network provider, has announced a number of new appointments to its senior management team, including the appointment of John Gilvarry as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO). In addition, Cormac Ryan has taken up the role of Commercial Director, and will work alongside John Fitzgerald, Procurement & Carrier Services Director.

John Gilvarry first joined Enet in December 2019 and previously held the role of Chief Technology Officer (CTO). With over 22 years’ experience in the industry, John has wide-ranging expertise and a thorough understanding of telecoms in Ireland and international markets. He originally joined Enet from Digicel where he served as Group CTO for Digicel Business.

Prior to this he held a number of roles in the mobile industry in Ireland and the UK, including O2, Vilicom, Meteor and Hutchison.

Cormac Ryan has an extensive understanding of telecoms in the Irish marketplace with over 20 years of customer relationship experience, including the management of customer projects, as well as holding sales and business development roles. Previously, Cormac held roles in Silicon & Software Systems (S3 Group) and BT Ireland, where he acted as Client Director. Immediately prior to his new role, Cormac served as Enet’s Sales Director.

John Fitzgerald also has over 20 years’ experience in telecoms and procurement, having held a number of senior roles with Enet including Government Liaison Officer and Business Development Director.
