Digiweb Ltd has today announced its intention to provide direct fibre services nationally to Business Customers using the fibre provided by e|net on the MANs.

Digiweb Ltd has today announced it’s intention to provide direct fibre services nationally to Business Customers using the fibre provided by e|net on the Metropolitan Area Networks (MANs).
This will mark Digiweb’s entry into the higher end business and corporate market for Customers who require a 99.999% Service Level Agreement for mission critical data and voice services.
Digiweb will also have the unique ability to offer full physical resilience to the fibre MANs using wireless technologies adding both physical and logical resilience to this high end service, a facility which is not currently offered by any other provider. Three corporate customers have already signed up for the service which is now available on all MANS with immediate effect.
Commenting on this announcement, John Quinn, Head of Strategic Development at Digiweb said: “Our deal with e|net now brings us into the corporate space for high quality voice and data services. The Partnership will also allow us to immediately implement our pre-funded and vendor supported multi-million euro LLU (local loop unbundling) plan once the commercial and regulatory environment is right for us to do so. Over the coming months people are going to see a substantial change in what Digiweb do and what we are going to do for telecommunications and broadband in Ireland.”
