Customer Project Manager
e|net, Ireland’s largest open access network operator and the company responsible for managing the State’s fibre-optic Metropolitan Area Networks (MANs), is seeking to recruit a Customer Project Manager on a specific purpose contract who will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of e|net customer projects in line with company strategy. This candidate will report directly to the Service Delivery Manager. The role will be based in our Limerick office. e|net provide a wide range of telecoms services on a wholesale basis and have become the provider of choice for fibre network services to the telecommunications industry in Ireland. Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management and Operations.
- Build and execute project management plan.
- Outline and agree communication plan at project commencement.
- Responsibility for organising project site surveys, scheduling, work orders and reporting.
- Proactively share updates and ensure all deliverables\dependencies are highlighted.
- Liaise with cross functional teams to ensure deliveries are on schedule, within scope and within budget.
- Manage customer communications and provide updates as and when required.
- Liaise with carrier contacts and provide updates as and when required.
- Manage project budgets and provide updates as and when required.
- Obtain necessary public and private wayleave relevant to each project including road opening licences and private wayleave applications.
- Maintain project records including financial, scheduling and invoicing.
- Ensure relevant paperwork is in place and maintained throughout the project, i.e. company purchase orders.
- Manage Health and Safety requirements for each project to ensure that H&S is in line with current legislation.
- Provide operational support to Service Delivery Manager as required.
Key Required Competencies
- Qualified to at least degree level.
- Good understanding of telecoms business environment and technical concepts.
- Health & Safety experience would be an advantage.
- Exposure to project management work.
- Microsoft Office skills – i.e. Excel, Word, Project, Powerpoint etc
- Excellent time management and organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Strong administration / documentation background and ability to grasp complex issues quickly
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of flexibility, willingness to learn and develop individually and as a team
- Self motivated and enthusiastic with ability to work on own initiative
- Any other duties as required
